A New Variation on Keto-Coffee

Kegenix Keto-Coffee
Keto-Coffee Nutrion Facts

Dave Asprey and his Bulletproof coffee have officially gone mainstream. So many people are now adding butter and MCT oil or MCT powder to their morning coffee and singing the mind-clarifying benefits. I discovered a new twist on Keto-Coffee today that I had to share. Kegenix has introduced their first Keto-Meal Replacement Powder for people on-the-go who want to grab a Keto-friendly convenient meal. While making my coffee this morning I wondered how it would taste in my coffee instead of my usual butter+MCT oil + stevia. All I have to say is I won't be making my morning coffee without it tomorrow. I ran out of MCT oil this morning and was looking for an alternative. I remembered that I had a jug of Kegenix Meal Replacement Vanilla in my pantry so I grabbed it. After reading the label I decided that it was fine to use prior to training...

The Genetic Benefits of Eating Beef

The Genetic Benefits of Eating Beef

Patrik Dahlin appeared on Super Human Radio last week and discussed a meta-analysis he authored comparing the health outcomes from adherence to a vegan/vegetarian diet –vs- an omnivorous diet (that entire interview can be heard here). Many shocking things came from that discussion. The meta-analysis included over a quarter of a million human subjects. It is clear that the vegan/vegetarians of the world do not fare any better, and, in many cases, worse than their meat-eating brethren when it comes to health and longevity outcomes. Sorry it’s just the truth. What was more shocking was what was revealed at the end of the interview about the potential genetic benefits of eating beef. There’s a new one for you. Something GOOD actually attributed to eating beef. Please don’t tell Beyoncé and Jay Z. This 6 minute video below focuses specifically on this information. How eating beef effects your telomeres. Yep… those darn...

Which Peptides Can And Can't Be Delivered Transdermally

structure-of-the-epidermis

Almost 20 years ago I was the guy on the Internet who you contacted if you wanted to compound a drug (mainly anabolic steroids) into transdermals. A sheet I created back in 2004 still circulates in bodybuilding forums "Homebrewing With PhloJel Ultra by Triceptor" with detailed steps in how to blend up to 20% concentrations of raw materials and deliver them effectively and efficiently through the skin. Most compounding pharmacists will say you can't get 20% concentrations and that 10% is the best you can do, but they're wrong. I learned my skills from the best in the world. Dr. Jim Rogers of JAR Pharmaceutical in Alberta Canada. When it came to transdermal delivery he was THE trail blazer. Now on to my point. With the oncoming peptide craze, people are attempting to deliver peptides through the skin to avoid crossing over to the dark-side on injections. In reality, this was...

Immunogenicity and Hypersensitivity Reactions: How do peptides and proteins compare to other drugs?

Peptide Sciences BPC-157

Unfortunately, almost all drugs have the potential to cause some type of allergic and immunogenic response. However, what are the prevalence of these reactions with peptides? “Biological drugs” are a class of medication which are partially or completely chemically constituted by amino acids that are linked to each other forming peptides and proteins. The basic distinguishing factor between peptides and proteins are size and structure. Traditionally, peptides are much smaller compared to proteins; consisting of 2-50 amino acids while proteins are made up of 50 or more. Further, peptides tend to be less defined in structure than proteins as proteins can adopt complex conformations known as secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures. Proteins tend to give cells their shape and respond to signals transmitted from an extracellular environment. peptides play key roles in regulating the activities of other molecules. Although the differences between proteins and peptides are subtle, there may be an...

A Youthful Expression (of cells)

nat565-100

We recently sat down with Dr. Suzanne Turner, top expert in peptide therapy, and Debbi Barber, Founder & President of Vitali Skincare, to talk about GHK-Cu (copper peptide).  Dr. Turner calls it one of the unsung heroes of the peptide genre, with countless benefits.  GHK-Cu encourages your skin fibroblasts, which are the STEM cells of the skin, to produce things as though they were younger cells. This molecule is able to repair and to regenerate a more youthful expression of cells on every single tissue level on which it is used. I’ve begun using a new serum, called Restoracell STEM Cell Awakening Serum which features GHK-Cu, blue copper peptide. The serum is the result of a lot research, determination and hard work by Debbi Barber, her husband Terry and their team of professionals.  This concentrated serum was developed to promote skin remodeling to reduce wrinkles and tighten collagen strands and loose skin while simultaneously protecting the skin from...
